How to create a secure guest Wi-Fi network
Use the guest network feature in your router, give it its own passphrase, and turn off access to local devices if the router offers that switch.
A second name, a second password
In the router admin page, enable the guest network, name it so guests recognize it, and set a passphrase you can say aloud without handing over your main password. Enable client isolation or “access local network: off” when that control exists.

Limits
Menu names differ by brand. This is not a click-path for every router. If the only way to “isolate” guests is a setting you do not understand, leave it off and ask the vendor’s documentation rather than guessing.
